KAYAKING FROM MASCA TO LOS GIGANTES

For hiking lovers, the Masca ravine is always in the plans when you travel to Tenerife. It goes from the beach of Masca to the marina of Los Gigantes admiring the cliffs of Los Gigantes, amazing volcanic walls of more than 600 meters high.

This popular trail takes you from the hamlet of Masca, located in the massif of the same name, to the beach of Masca. You should calculate between 3 hours and 3 hours and a half to walk it, it is long but well worth it!

The best way to organize the descent is to leave your vehicle at the marina of Los Gigantes, from there take a cab to the hamlet of Masca and start the descent path (free).

Once on the beach of Masca, and after a refreshing swim, we encourage you to return by kayak to the marina of Los Gigantes (the place where you left your car) to enjoy the magnificent views of this unique volcanic walls from the sea.

The descent of the Masca ravine is a medium difficulty trail that is completed in about 3:30 hrs. We recommend the use of appropriate footwear and comfortable clothing.

Keep in mind that the road to reach the hamlet of Masca is very winding in addition to support a high volume of vehicles in its narrow curves. If you are going up by car, it is possible that you will not find a place to park because the space is very limited. That is why we recommend taking a cab from Los Gigantes to the hamlet of Masca. The price of the cab is about 27€ and the trip takes 45 minutes. You should take the cab before 9:00 am to avoid possible mishaps.

The recommended starting time of the trail is between 10:00 and 10:30 hrs. This way you will have enough time to arrive at the pier before 14:30 hrs. The courtesy waiting time is 15 minutes, after that time the activity will begin and you will not be entitled to a refund of the amounts paid. The contracted activity begins once you are on the kayak, in no case before because the descent of the ravine you do it under your own responsibility.

On Masca beach there are two boat companies that can be hired at the pier. Until 17:30 hrs there are boats available approximately every 30 minutes and the price of the transfer from Masca to Los Gigantes is 10€ per person. In any case, these observations are for information purposes and may vary throughout the year. We are not responsible for changes in the schedules and prices of cabs and boats mentioned here.

Reservations cannot be cancelled during the 24 hours prior to the activity. We will charge 100% of the total amount if the service has already been contracted.

If you cancel your reservation between 72 and 24 hours prior to the activity, the handling fee will be 50% of the total amount.

In case of canceling your reservation between 7 and 3 days prior to the activity, the cancellation fee will be 25% of the total amount.

The refund of 100% of the total amount of the reservation will be effective in the following cases:

In case of canceling your reservation more than 7 days in advance.

In cases of force majeure (e.g. weather) that prevent the provision of the service.
